Feature Summary

  • 12- to 16-bit native dynamic range (up to 65,536 levels of gray)
  • Image acquisition procedure is similar to traditional film exposure procedure
  • Electronic shutter; exposure is computer controlled
  • Choice of OS: either Windows or Macintosh
  • Power is the only connection required for the camera system
  • No cooling water or compressed air is needed
  • Choice of side port or bottom mount:
  • Side-port mount, for maximum field of view (>= 100% of film)
  • Bottom mount for maximum resolution
  • Low-distortion optical lens
  • Sensitivity of all cameras is equal to or higher than the sensitivity of standard TEM film (dependent on camera's mode of operation)

RevolutionTEM systems are backed by 4pi's one-year warranty on all parts and labor. Service contracts are available. The original TEM film camera remains fully functional and can be used with the new digital camera system.
